NUCA of Central Florida’s 2024 Auction & Scholarship Night
Was held on Friday, June 21st at the Brevard Zoo.
We were pleased to honor the recipient of our 2024
J. Mitchell Ellington & Joeseph G. Weber Scholarships
Rylee Shannon and Cassandra White, additional recipients Avery Anderson & Vincenzo Mersino. Our guests enjoyed a delicious barbecue dinner while keeping up on their bids in the silent auction, followed by our live auction. The evening concluded with an exciting Reverse Draw. The evening was a great success and fun for all who attended – be sure not to miss it next year!

Scholarship & Joeseph G. Weber Scholarship 2024
Rylee Shannon is the daughter of Keri Moores and Joshua Moores (V. A. Paving, Inc.). Rylee graduated from Rockledge Senior High School in 2023 after having earned her Associates Degree while in high school. She is attending the University of Central Florida where she is majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Business Administration. Ultimately, Rylee plans to become a civil engineer and own a construction company.
Cassandra White is the daughter of Paul and Jeana Stelljes (Cemex). Cassandra graduated from Wellington Community High School in 2023. She is currently attending Florida State University, pursuing a degree in Psychology. After graduation, Cassandra plans to get her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy to become a Pediatric Occupational Therapist.

Scholarships
Avery Anderson is the daughter of Renea Anderson and Micheal Anderson (United Rentals, Trench Safety). Avery graduated in 2023 from Boone High School. She is attending the University of North Florida where she is majoring in Psychology. She plans to get her Masters in Counseling Psychology and become a Clinical Psychologist.
Vincenzo Mersino is the son of Marcus and Marisa Mersino (Mersino Dewatering Inc.) Vincenzo graduated from Powers Catholic High School in 2020. He is attending Ava Maria University majoring in Theology. He is considering pursuing a career in Teaching or Campus Ministry.
